The Shani Shingnapur Temple is known as a jagrut devasthan, where it is believed the deity actively resides, offering divine protection. A unique aspect of this village is the absence of doors in houses, as villagers firmly believe that Lord Shani punishes anyone attempting theft in the area, ensuring their safety and peace.

The deity, known as Swayambhu (self-manifested), emerged naturally from the earth as a black stone. While its exact origin is unknown, it is said that shepherds from a nearby village first discovered the Swayambhu Shanaishwara statue. This sacred site is believed to date back to the beginning of Kali Yuga.
