In Vedic astrology, Shani (Saturn) is one of the most feared yet respected planets. Known as the Lord of Karma, Shani rewards or punishes individuals based on their past actions. Two of its most impactful phases are Sade Sati (7.5 years of Saturn’s transit) and Dhaiya/Dhyayya (2.5 years of Saturn’s transit). While both bring challenges, they differ in intensity, duration, and effects.
