Understanding the Twelve Forms of Bhagwan Shri Madhav Ji
Bhagwan Shri Triveni Madhavji : The pilgrimage began from this spot. During the sangam bath, the devotee must bow his or her head at Bhagwan Shri Triveni MadhavJi's lotus feet. The Historical Journey of Dwadash Madhav Parikrama
After the country acquired independence, Saint Prabhudutt Brahmachari, Shankaracharya Niranjan Devtirtha, and Dharmasamrat Swami Karpatri Ji Maharaj began the circumambulation in the month of Magh in 1961 in search of Dwadash Madhav. The practice ended in 1987. Swami Harichaitanya Brahmachari of TikarMafi Peeth (Jhunsi) started the parikrama (circumambulation) in 1991, but it was cut short after a few years due to ignorance on the side of other religious organizations and the administration.
The Revival of Dwadash Madhav Parikrama at Kumbh 2019
The parikrama was reintroduced in Kumbh 2019 on February 6, thanks to the efforts of Mahant Hari Giri, General Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, and is still practiced today.
Madhav temples may be located around the city, most notably the Veni Madhav temple in Daraganj (the deity of Prayagraj).
