History of Chintamani Ganesh Temple

The temple was established in the Ramayana. The Chintaman Ganesha temple dates back to the Parmar period, which is thought to have lasted from the ninth to thirteenth centuries. A lion sits on the temple's peak. The current temple was renovated under the reign of Ahilyabai Holkar. According to mythology, Chintaman Ganesha is one of the six Vinayakas established by Sita. It is stated that this temple dates back to Rama's exile in the Ramayana period. Sita became exceedingly thirsty while Lord Shri Ram was walking through the wilderness with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman. Ram asked Lakshman to bring water, but he refused. Ram was startled when Lakshman refused to work for the first time.
