Chaitra Navratri is the festival of nine days when Goddess Durga is worshipped in nine different forms. Mainly, this festival is celebrated with full spirit by devotees of Maa Durga. This is also known as тАШGangaurтАЩ in some parts of India. In order to honour Goddess Durga, devotees conduct a nine-day fast during this time. It is celebrated during the Hindu lunar month of Chaitra, which falls in March or April most of the time. Ram Navami, which is also Lord Rama's birthday, marks the end of Chaitra Navratri on the ninth day of the celebration.

From when Chaitra Navratri starts and ends?
According to Hindu panchang, Chaitra Navratri starts from 30, March 2025 and ends on 6, April 2025. Ghata sthapana will be done on 30 March.

Ghatasthapana meaning and Ghatasthapana Muhurat
Ghatasthapana is the very first ritual performed during Navratri. Ghat means kalash and sthapana means to establish, it means that we are invoking Maa Durga using kalash. Devotees fill kalash with soil, water, barley seeds and cow dung. Also, on the kalash coconut is placed, then devotees worshipped that kalash for nine days. On the tenth day, devotees do Kalash Visarjan.

Ghatasthapana Muhurat
According to astrologers, the time of Ghatasthapana on March 30 is from 06:13 am to 10:21 am. Ghatasthapana can be done during this time. Apart from this, Ghatasthapana can also be done in Abhijeet Muhurta between 12:00 pm to 12:50 pm.

The Navratri celebration, known as Gupta Navratri, is celebrated during the months of Paush and Ashadh as well, however Tantra Sadhna is performed during that Navratri.
