Chaitra Navratri is the festival of nine days when Goddess Durga is worshipped in nine different forms. Mainly, this festival is celebrated with full spirit by devotees of Maa Durga. This is also known as ‘Gangaur’ in some parts of India. In order to honour Goddess Durga, devotees conduct a nine-day fast during this time. It is celebrated during the Hindu lunar month of Chaitra, which falls in March or April most of the time. Ram Navami, which is also Lord Rama's birthday, marks the end of Chaitra Navratri on the ninth day of the celebration.

From when Chaitra Navratri starts and ends?
According to Hindu panchang, Chaitra Navratri starts from 30, March 2025 and ends on 6, April 2025. Ghata sthapana will be done on 30 March.

Ghatasthapana meaning and Ghatasthapana Muhurat
Ghatasthapana is the very first ritual performed during Navratri. Ghat means kalash and sthapana means to establish, it means that we are invoking Maa Durga using kalash. Devotees fill kalash with soil, water, barley seeds and cow dung. Also, on the kalash coconut is placed, then devotees worshipped that kalash for nine days. On the tenth day, devotees do Kalash Visarjan.

Ghatasthapana Muhurat
According to astrologers, the time of Ghatasthapana on March 30 is from 06:13 am to 10:21 am. Ghatasthapana can be done during this time. Apart from this, Ghatasthapana can also be done in Abhijeet Muhurta between 12:00 pm to 12:50 pm.

First of the year, or Chaitra Navratri, celebrated in the month of Chaitra; second is Shardiya Navratri. Bengali people refer to Sharadiya Navaratri as Durga Puja. Because it begins at this time, Chaitra Navratri is also known as Hindu New Year. Also referred to as Shardiya Navratri, the second Navratri occurs during the month of Ashwin. The Navratri celebration, known as Gupta Navratri, is celebrated during the months of Paush and Ashadh as well, however Tantra Sadhna is performed during that Navratri.

Akalipur temple - The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali. This temple is a favourable place for Tantra Sadhana and Tantrics. ‘Maa Tara Shringar puja’ is the special puja offered in the temple of Maa Tara during Navratri. Durga Kund Temple - Durga Kund Temple is one of the famous temples in Varanasi. In this temple Maa Durga is worshipped in the form of ‘yantra’. ,’Kashi Durga Kund Naam Gotra Sankalp’ puja is a special puja offered during Navratri. Maa Durga is known to bless her devotees and fulfil all their desires.

Kalighat temple - Kalighat temple is 200 years old Kali temple located at Kolkata, West Bengal. It is one of the 51 shakti peeth of India. Mata Sati's right toe had fallen here. Goddess Kali is seen with her feet on the chest of Lord Shiva and a garland of Narmundas. Also a few drops of blood are dripping from the tongue. ‘Kalighat Sukh Samriddhi puja’ is the special puja offered in the Kalighat temple during Navratri. Varahi Mata temple - Varahi Mata is one of the seven matrikas of Hindu religion who helped Goddess Durga to defeat demon Raktabija.
