Phalaharini Kali Puja 2025 Date and Time

Phalaharini Kali Puja is a highly auspicious day in the Bengali calendar's Jyeshta month that honors Goddess Kali. The date for the Phalaharini Kali Puja 2025 is May 26. The day falls on Amavasya Day in the Jaishto month. In some areas, the puja will take place on May 26th at night. The Amavasya tithi must be present at midnight for the puja to be performed.

Legends of Lord Shani

According to Hindu scriptures, Devi Sandhya, Lord Surya's wife, was unable to withstand the intense brightness and heat that Lord Surya projected. As a result, she left her shadow, Chaaya, to replace her. She resolved to do penance for her actions and proceeded to meditate and pray to Lord Shiva. During this period, Chaaya gave birth to Lord Shani. Lord Surya, on the other hand, began to question himself because of his dark color and look. He questioned Chaaya's virginity, insulted her, and refused to acknowledge Shani Dev as his son.
Lord Shani could not tolerate the humiliation inflicted on his mother and turned a scathing stare on Lord Surya, causing him to burn down. When the Sun went dark, Lord Shiva intervened and healed Lord Surya. He also revealed that Chaaya was chaste and pure before bestowing upon Lord Shani the right to punish those who do wrongdoing.
