Day 1: This avatar is known as Maa Shailputri (mountain daughter) .She encourages us to start our spiritual journeys with a solid foundation of devotion and faith.
Day 2: Maa Brahmacharani is another avatar. She teaches us the value of discipline and commitment through her story and how it will benefit our own personal objectives.
Day 3: Maa Chandraghanta is another avatar. On her forehead is a half-moon. She is a symbol of bravery and a fearless soul. She asks us to be courageous as we confront evil and negativity both within and outside of ourselves.
Day 4: This avatar's name is Maa Kushmanda. It is said that Maa Kushmanda created the universe with her wonderful smile. She represents the universe's creative energy. This day encourages us to find joy and happiness in our lives, as well as to use our creativity to make the world a better place.
Day 5: This avatar's name is Maa Skandamata. She is Lord Skanda's (Kartik) mother. She conveys the loving and protective nature of a mother. The message here is about compassion, love, and the powerful strength that comes from protecting people we care about.

Day 9: The name of this avatar is Maa Siddhidatri. She is the person who grants all requests and spiritual powers. She is the highest level of our spiritual path. This day shows us that with sincere dedication and hard work, we can achieve our goals.

How to Celebrate Navratri at Home

Find an area and clean it properly.
Put the Maa Durga idol there.
Use fresh flowers to adorn the idol and the area.
Lit up a diya and also some incense sticks.
If possible, take a fast, be it a Nirjala fast or Falahar.
Pray each day with Bhakti and chant mantras like "Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundaye Vichche"
You can also decorate your home with rangoli.
