History:

The temple is recognized as the main shrine of the RadhaVallabh sect and depicts the love between Lord Krishna and Radha Rani. The older temple, now known as the Hith Mandir was constructed in the 16th century under the reign of Mughal emperor Akbar by Sundardas Bhatnagar. It is believed that the idol of Shri RadhaVallabh ji was given to the ancestors of Shri Atmadev Brahman by Lord Shiva and found its way to the temple over the years.

Information:

The temple is open to everyone, all days of the week and the timing are from 5:00 am to 12:00 pm and then from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There is no entry fee. The best time to visit the temple is from October to December and from February to April since the temperature remains pleasant throughout the day making it comfortable for the tourists to enjoy the pilgrimage. There is no Shri Radhika goddess with Shri Radha Vallabha, but there is a crown on the altar that is worshipped as Radhika. Additionally, Radha and Krishna are regarded united as the Radha Vallabh Deity. Bending body, intoxicated eyes, mischievous smile, lovely form, everything draws the thoughts in. As Shri Krishna plays Murali, all the Gopis are drawn to him. Similarly, it is only within the ability of Shri Harivansh Ji, as Murali avtar, to create the Raas-filled representation of the union and separation.

Architecture:

The temple’s architecture is a blend of the Mughal and Indian styles. It is made of red sandstones which is quite unusual during that time as the material was exclusively used in high palaces, imperial buildings, and royal forts.
