Kavachan vāyuputrasya ekādashamukhātmanah ॥ 2॥

Namaskṛutvā rāmadūtāan hanumantan mahāmatim ।
Brahmaproktan tu kavachan shaṛuṇu sundari sādaram ॥ 4॥

Sanandanāya sumahachchaturānanabhāṣhitam ।
Kavachan kāmadan divyan rakṣhahkulanibarhaṇam ॥ 5॥

Sarvasampatpradan puṇyan martyānāan madhurasvare ।
Aum asya shrīkavachasyaikādashavaktrasya dhīmatah॥6॥

Hanumatstutimantrasya sanandan ṛuṣhiah smṛutah ।

Krauan-bījātmā nayanayoah pātu māan vānareshvarah ।
Kṣhan-bījarūpah karṇau me sītāshokavināshanah ॥ 9॥

Glauan-bījavāchyo nāsāan me lakṣhmaṇaprāṇadāyakah ।
Van-bījārthashcha kaṇṭhan me pātu chākṣhayakārakah ॥ 10॥

Aian-bījavāchyo hṛudayan pātu me kapināyakah ।
Van-bījakīrtitah pātu bāhū me chānyjanīsutah ॥ 11॥

Hrāan-bījo rākṣhasendrasya darpahā pātu chodaram ।
Hrasauan-bījamayo madhyan pātu lankāvidāhakah ॥ 12॥

Hrīan-bījadharah pātu guhyan devendravanditah ।
Ran-bījātmā sadā pātu chorū vārdhilanghanah ॥ 13॥

Sugrīvasachivah pātu jānunī me manojavah ।


Āpādamastakan pātu rāmadūto mahābalah ।
Pūrve vānaravaktro māmāgneyyāan kṣhatriyāntakṛut ॥ 14॥

Dakṣhiṇe nārasianhastu naiṛurtyāan gaṇanāyakah ।
Vāruṇyāan dishi māmavyātkhagavaktro harīshvarah ॥ 15॥

एकादशमुखहनुमत्कवचम्

श्रीगणेशाय नमः । लोपामुद्रा उवाच ।
कुम्भोद्भव दयासिन्धो श्रुतं हनुमतः परम् ।
यन्त्रमन्त्रादिकं सर्वं त्वन्मुखोदीरितं मया ॥ 1॥

दयां कुरु मयि प्राणनाथ वेदितुमुत्सहे ।
कवचं वायुपुत्रस्य एकादशमुखात्मनः ॥ 2॥

इत्येवं वचनं श्रुत्वा प्रियायाः प्रश्रयान्वितम् ।
वक्तुं प्रचक्रमे तत्र लोपामुद्रां प्रति प्रभुः ॥ 3॥

अर्थ : अगस्त्य पत्नी लोपामुद्रा ने महर्षि अगस्त्यजी से कहां- हे दयासागर! कुम्भ से उत्पन्न प्राणनाथ! आपने तो मुझे अपने मुख से ही श्रीहनुमान्जी का यन्त्र, मन्त्र, तन्त्र आदि सभी कुछ बताया। इसके अनन्तर वायुपुत्र एकादश मुख वाले हनुमान जी के कवच जानने की मेरी अपूर्व इच्छा है, जिसे दयापूर्वक आप बताने की कृपा करें। इस प्रकार अपनी प्रिय पत्नी के वचन सुनकर लोपामुद्रा से अगस्त्यमुनि जी ने इस प्रकार कहा ।। 1-3।।

अगस्त्य उवाच ।
नमस्कृत्वा रामदूतां हनुमन्तं महामतिम् ।
ब्रह्मप्रोक्तं तु कवचं श‍ृणु सुन्दरि सादरम् ॥ 4॥

अर्थ - अगस्त्य उवाच
हनुमान हे सुन्दरि ! सृष्टिविधायक ब्रह्मा द्वारा कथित एकादश मुख वाले जी के कवच का वर्णन मैं करता हूँ, | जिसे तुम श्रद्धा-भक्ति से सावधानीपूर्वक सुनो। इस प्रकार अतुलित बुद्धि वाले रामदूत हनुमान जी को प्रणाम कर, महर्षि अगस्त्यमुनि ने इस प्रकार कहा ।। 4।।

सनन्दनाय सुमहच्चतुराननभाषितम् ।
कवचं कामदं दिव्यं रक्षःकुलनिबर्हणम् ॥ 5॥

सर्वसम्पत्प्रदं पुण्यं मर्त्यानां मधुरस्वरे ।
ॐ अस्य श्रीकवचस्यैकादशवक्त्रस्य धीमतः॥6॥

हनुमत्स्तुतिमन्त्रस्य सनन्दन ऋषिः स्मृतः ।
प्रसन्नात्मा हनूमांश्च देवता परिकीर्तिता ॥ 7॥

छन्दोऽनुष्टुप् समाख्यातं बीजं वायुसुतस्तथा ।
मुख्यः प्राणः शक्तिरिति विनियोगः प्रकीर्तितः ॥ 8॥

अर्थ - हे प्रिय! चतुर्मुख ब्रह्मा ने समस्त अभीष्टप्रद एवं सम्पूर्ण राक्षसों को नष्ट करने वाले तथा अणिमादि आट सिद्धियों को देने वाले, एकादश मुख वाले श्री हनुमान जी | के पुण्यकारी कवच का वर्णन भगवद्-पार्षद सनन्दनादिक से मधुर स्वर में इस प्रकार किया। हे सनन्द्नादि महर्षिगण। इन एकादशमुख वाले हनुमत्कवच मन्त्र के सनन्दन ऋषि प्रसन्न चित्त वाले हनुमान देवता, अनुष्टुप् छन्द, बीज एवं मुख्य प्राण शक्ति रूप से हैं, इस प्रकार कहा साधक को चाहिए कि वह दाहिने हाथ में जल लेकर 'ॐ अस्य श्रीकवचस्य, एकादशवक्त्रस्य' इत्यादि देशकाल का निरूपण करते हुए ‘सर्वकामार्थ-सिद्धयर्थे जपे विनियोगः तक कहकर भूमि पर जल छोड़ दें।।5-8।।

क्रौं-बीजात्मा नयनयोः पातु मां वानरेश्वरः ।
क्षं-बीजरूपः कर्णौ मे सीताशोकविनाशनः ॥ 9॥

ग्लौं-बीजवाच्यो नासां मे लक्ष्मणप्राणदायकः ।
वं-बीजार्थश्च कण्ठं मे पातु चाक्षयकारकः ॥ 10॥
अर्थ - न्यास-तत्पश्चात् 'स्फ्रें बीजशक्तिधृक् पातु' से आरम्भ कर, 'इति करतलकरपृष्ठाभ्यां नमः' तक पढ़कर करादि तथा हृदयादि षडङ्गन्यास करें।।9-10।।

ऐं-बीजवाच्यो हृदयं पातु मे कपिनायकः ।
वं-बीजकीर्तितः पातु बाहू मे चाञ्जनीसुतः ॥ 11॥

ह्रां-बीजो राक्षसेन्द्रस्य दर्पहा पातु चोदरम् ।
ह्रसौं-बीजमयो मध्यं पातु लङ्काविदाहकः ॥ 12॥

ह्रीं-बीजधरः पातु गुह्यं देवेन्द्रवन्दितः ।
रं-बीजात्मा सदा पातु चोरू वार्धिलंघनः ॥ 13॥

सुग्रीवसचिवः पातु जानुनी मे मनोजवः ।
अर्थ - कवच- ‘वं' बीजयुक्त अंजनीसुत मेरे दोनों भुजाओं की, 'ह्रा' बीज युक्त रावण के अभिमान को नष्ट करने वाले दर्पहा पेट की, 'सौं' बीज सहित लंका- विदाहक नाभि की, 'ही' बीज वाले देवेन्द्रवन्दित गुप्तांग की, 'र' बीजात्मक वार्धिलंघन दोनों घुटनों की, सुग्रीवमन्त्री मनोजव मेरे जानु की रक्षा करें ।। 11-13।।

आपादमस्तकं पातु रामदूतो महाबलः ।
पूर्वे वानरवक्त्रो मामाग्नेय्यां क्षत्रियान्तकृत् ॥ 14॥

दक्षिणे नारसिंहस्तु नैऋर्त्यां गणनायकः ।
वारुण्यां दिशि मामव्यात्खगवक्त्रो हरीश्वरः ॥ 15॥

वायव्यां भैरवमुखः कौबेर्यां पातु मां सदा ।
क्रोडास्यः पातु मां नित्यमैशान्यां रुद्ररूपधृक् ॥ 16॥
अर्थ - इसी प्रकार महाबली रामदूत पैर से लेकर मस्तक पर्यन्त मेरे सभी अंगों की रक्षा करें तथा वानरमुख वाले पूर्व दिशा में, परशुराम आकृति वाले आग्नेय में, नारसिंह वक्त्रवाले दक्षिण में, गणेश मुखवाले नैर्ऋत्य में एवं गरुड मुखवाले कपीश्वर पश्चिम में, भैरव मुखवाले वायव्य में, वाराह मुखवाले उत्तर में तथा रुद्रमुख वाले ईशान दिशा में मेरी निरन्तर रक्षा करें।।14-16।।
