Every year, we celebrate four Navratri (9 Nights for the Divine), including Magh Gupt Navratri, Chaitra Navratri, Ashadh Gupt Navratri, and Sharad Navratri. For a long time, most people were unaware of the two Gupt Navratris, Magh Gupt Navratri and Ashadh Gupt Navratri, also known as Varahi Navratri, which were celebrated exclusively by Tantric and Sadhaks in secret.

Introduction

Navratri is the time to worship the universe's sacred feminine spirit, Goddess Durga, with utmost devotion and faith. Do you understand why we celebrate Navratri? Allow me to answer. Navratri is the time of year to celebrate the change of seasons with dedication, renewal, and joy. Aside from prakat Navratri (Chaitra and Shardiya Navratri), Hindus honor Maa Durga at two additional Navratris known as Gupt Navratri. Gupt Navratri is also known as Gayatri Ashada Navratri (falls in Ashadha Mas) and Magha Navratri (falls in Magha Mas).

What is Gupt Navratri?

Uday Navratri, also known as Prakat Navratri, is extensively celebrated from north to south and east to west with great passion and zeal. They symbolize community events with a message of devotion and triumph of good over evil.
Similarly, Gupt Navratri is a lesser-known Navratri with spiritual and mystical customs for worshipping Maa Durga. They are thought to be conducted in secret by Tantric, Aghoris, and others.

Significance of Gupt Navratri

According to the Devi Bhagwat Purana, Uday Navratri is celebrated twice a year, as is Gupt Navratri, during the Hindu Panchang's Magh (January-February) and Ashada (July-August) mas. Navratri occurs four times a year. Apparently, nine forms of the Goddess are worshipped during Chaitra, Shardiya, and Gupt Navratri.
During the old Vedic age, just a few sages were aware of Gupt Navratri. It gradually gained popularity among Tantriks and Sadhaks due to its spiritual strength. Devotees think that practicing 'Saadhna' during this time will help them overcome material difficulties. Thus, Gupt Navratri is still a time to ask Goddess Durga for education, money, and success. Gupt Navratri is extremely important to those who practice Tantric rituals, Shakti Sadhanas, and other similar practices. During this time, devotees of Goddess Bhagwati fast and practice Sadhana under very severe conditions. Devotees pay reverence to Goddess Shakti in many Roop,

Goddesses Tara, Goddess Kali, Goddess Lalita, Goddess Bhuwneshwari, Goddess Tripur Bhairvi, Goddess Chinnmastika, Goddess Dhumawati, Goddess Bagalamukhi, Goddess Matangi, and Goddess Kamla.
Although the customs and practices differ from Prakat Navratri, the gesture of love and devotion is genuine and devoted to Maa Shakti. The attributes of Maa Durga's ten Mahavidyas are highly valued here. These Mahavidyas are worshipped as part of Tantric Sadhana to gain insight into the universe's mysteries.

Benefits of Gupt Navratri

Mahavidyas are worshipped at Gupt Navratri. It is thought that anyone who secretly worships them learns the universe's hidden mysteries. Tantra sadhna is also very important during Gupt Navratri. According to the scriptures, individuals who worship the Goddess during Gupt Navratri can predict the future. In addition, worshipping with devotion during Gupt Navratri fulfils all of the devotees' requests. The Goddess' blessings provide prosperity in the form of wealth and grains in the home, as well as financial prosperity. At the same time, people seeking spiritual understanding would find adoring the Goddess during Gupt Navratri to be exceedingly auspicious. If you worship during Gupt Navratri for spiritual upliftment, you may have mystical experiences.

Mahavidya is worshipped at Gupt Navratri

Navratri is a cyclical process that manifests all of Shakti's colours. Goddess Kali, Goddess Tara, Goddess Lalita, Goddess Bhuvaneshwari, Goddess Tripura Bhairavi, Goddess Chinnamastika, Goddess Dhumavati, Goddess Bagalamukki, Goddess Matangi, and Goddess Kamala will all emerge at this Shakti Puja. All of these Shaktis are mostly adored in Tantric Sadhana. The devotion of the ten Mahavidyas is especially important during Gupt Navratri. These are the 10 manifestations of Shakti. Each shape is complete in itself. It includes how the cosmos works and the mysteries it contains. Mahavidya encompasses all living beings. These 10 Mahavidyas are regarded as extremely potent in Tantric Sadhana.
